My last week in Australia

My exchange Year is nearly over, I finished school early because there are only exames and other test on at the school and I don't have to do them.
My flight back to Switzerland is already at monday and I really looking forward to go home and start my life and my job. As the most people know I got a job as a optometrist in Basel at Ramstein Optik.
A dream came true when I heard that I got this job and I'm really exited about it.
But anyway, I'm gonna tell you now about the last 2 weeks:

The last 2 weeks were really good, my hostfamily took me to Black Rock, that's a nice water hole with a small waterfall and they took me to Valentines Springs that's another small river, where you can go for a swimm.
I've been with my hostmum for fishing at 2 spots but we were really unlucky and we didn't caught anything, we felt that the fishes were eating our bait but we didn't catch one, small fish. We saw a dangerous salt water crocodile and it was arround 3m long and I recon pretty heavy.
I stayed for a weekend at a friends house and we've been out with his hostfamilys boat for Kneeboarding and other fun stuff, we listened to ACDC on the boat while we were driving it. It was just an awesome day with an awesome sunset at the end.
I really enjoyed my time up in the Outback in Kununurra and I have a lot of picture that I wanna share with you.
My flight back to Perth was at Thursday at arround 4o'clock in the afternoon, while I was flying to Broome, I saw the most amazing sunset ever, the sun was red and it dived into the cloud and it made the hole sky orange/red. I couldn't take picture but it was just amazing......
Now I'm in Perth and I meet a lot of my friends and other Exchange Students again, I stayed before nearly 7 months in Perth and I had a really good time.
I went for lunch and dinner with school mates and I've been shopping with some exchange students from arround the world.
Tomorrow is my last day and I will do the best out of it and It was just an amazing year, I meet so many people and they are sooooo nice.... I will defenatly come back to Australia!!!! <3

I wanna say thank you MUM and DAD that you made that possible for me, I LOVE YOU <3

And thanks to all the readers who hopefully enjoyed my australian diary!!!!

April to May (My parents visited my)

The hole last months was awesome, let's start with Perth.

District Conference in Geraldton:

I flew with Gabiele and Billy (Italian and Taiwanes) down to Perth we're we went to Gerladton to the District Conference. It was awesome to see all Exchange Students from Perth again. Once in Geraldton we went to the Conference room where a lot of people had speeches and interesting talks about Rotary and the Youth.
The hole conference was from friday evening to sunday afternoon, we had to do some workshops and the most of the time we just sat there and we listened to the people who had a speech. Sometimes it was interesting and sometimes it was boring!
But we all had a great time with the 25 exchange students from al over the world.
When we drived back to Perth we stopped at famous rocks and we visitet a museum. (View the pictures)

Back in Kununurra:

After a great and especially cold weekend in Perth ( Geraldton) we landed save in Kununurra and we missed a 40degrees weekend, it was freezing in Perth with 15degrees!
At the next day I finally changed to my last Hostfamily for my exchange, I live now 4km out of town and it's really nice here, I have 1 younger and 1 older hostbrother and they are really nice, we also have a little dog as well. I live in my own room outside and I have a couch, a fridge and my own Tv and a big bed.
It's just awesome here and I love it so much!

MY PARENTS ARE HERE:

At monday after I went with a small airplane to Halls Creek and helped an optometrist, my parents arrived at arround 4:30 in Kununurra.

It's a special stone that you only can find here in the Kimberly region. It really looks like a zebra.

We say snakes and kangaroos and of course we saw a lot of fresh water Crocodiles. The hole tour went for about 6hours and it finished with a beautiful sunset at Lake Kununurra.

Thursday: Andrea Bolten, a really nice Rotary Member from the Rotary Club of Kununurra took my parents and Billy and Gabriele out to wyndham and to the billabongs, that's a nice spot where a lot of birds and animals life. When we've been there we saw a King Brown snake, it was just 2m away from me and I didn't saw it, Gabriele told me and that I saw it as well. When this King Brown would bite my I would be dead in 1m, it's one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. When we arrived in wyndham we've drived up a hill to the 5 River lookout, it was beautiful and my parents loved it.
On the way home we stopped at The Grotto, it's a waterfall and it's just beautiful, we saw lizzerts and fishs and a lot of frogs.

Friday: I drived with my parents to EQ ( El Questro), I've walked with them to an other waterfall and we visited Zebede Springs. It's a Thermal bath, the water is the hole year arround 32degrees warm and it's really nice there, there are some frogs that just life there and no where else in the hole world....
After that we had a great lunch at the El Questro resort in the bush, I had a Steak Sandwich what were beautiful and my mum and dad had Barramundi, it's a local fish and it's really delicious.

Saturday: we got up at 4:30 and we drived away from our house at 5, we drived to Lake Argyle, it was a big event there. The lake Argyle Swimm, you can swimm in a team or alone 20km and it's pretty hard and you need a lot of good swimmers. We've been with my hostmum and her friends on a big houseboat and we had on it a Barbecue and good salad. Just a beautiful day with 34degees and the water was arround 27degrees warm, we swam as well but just next to the houseboat and not at the event. We drived home and in the evening, my dad, Gabriele, my hostdad and his friend and of course me we went to the Kununurra Speedway, it was on a race track that were round and different cars drived there and it was a lot of fun to watch them.

Trip to Kununurra

Our great trip to Kununurra started at 6o’clock in the morning. It was a sunny, 28degress warm Tuesday morning and we were all ready for going. Our first stop was at a Chicken Farm from Jim’s friend. He had around 200’000 Chicken in 8 big halls and now we know where the Chicken is coming from when we go to Chicken Treat.
We were driven along the Coast and after I while we saw some Sand Dunes, I asked Jim if we could stop for a while and have a look. We stopped and we had some great fun in the Sand. I told him after, that I did more with him in the last 2houers then with the Rotary Club Mount Lawley in my past 6month!
Our first stop where we stayed overnight was Monkey Mia, it’s a really great place with a lot to do. At the first night we had a big BBQ, we did a 1,6kg Steak with Potato and some vegetables and later during the night Gabrielle, Billy and I went to the Beach and we cached some crabs and fishes. The next morning started at 7o’clock in the morning because we went for Dolphin watching, after 2 hours at 9o’clock, 2 Dolphins came in and we gave them 150g of fish. During the same day some wild Emus came to our camping spot and we could feed them out of our hand, It was a great experience.
The next stop at our plan was Coral Bay, we drove from Monkey Mia to Coral Bay in around 8hours. But it was worth the drive. We stayed in a Bungalow just 2min from the beach. We booked for the next day a Glass Bottom Boat Tour, it drove us about 500m away from the Coast where the Reef started and we went there for Snorkelling. We saw couples of Reef Sharks but they were just 1m long and not dangerous, there were hips of fish, really colourful and from small to really big. We went for fishing as well and snorkelling at the beach, there was a lot to do. We decided that Billy, Gabrielle and I are cooking for Jim every night something special from our country. Billy started with a good Chicken Soup with Salad from Taiwan, Gabrielle did a good Pasta with a homemade Tomato sauce from Italy and I finally did a big hash brown (like a big Omelette) with Meet and a good pepper sauce from Switzerland.  We think Jim enjoyed it, hopefully.

After Coral Bay we stopped at Port Hedland, Karratha and Broome.

In Port Hedland we saw the poor and the rich side of the life and we've been to the big salt dunes and the Mines in Port Hedland. They are huge and really Interessting.
In Karratha we catched up with the RC of Karratha for Dinner and we had to do a Speech about our self and our home country, we just stayed there over night and we went straight to Broome at the next day.
Broome was just beautiful, the beach was huge and we've been to camel riding at sunset, I will never forget about this experience and I can say, everybody should do that once in his life, it's worth it.
